The Stereo Source Position Manager Window

The Stereo Source Position Manager window allows you to position or move stereo audio sources inside the Spatializer of X-Spat.
Select the couple of channels for which you want to set the movement parameters using the radial buttons in the top right section of the window. The vertical fader controls the elevation (Z) of the couple of sources; the cross between the two spheres in the graphic area controls their coordinate values X and Y.

The 'Focus' fader modifies the distance of the couple from the centre of the environment.
The 'Angle' fader modifies the angle of the line between the two spheres in relation to the centre of the environment.
The 'Width' fader modifies the distance between the two sources in the circumference.
Click on the cross and move it to modify the Focus and Angle values, at the same time. Use the Width fader to enlarge the stereo image without changing distance and angle. Use the Angle fader to move the stereo image in the circumference without changing its distance from the centre and its width.

The 'Spatializer Outputs Position Manager' window

The window Spatializer Outputs Position Manager allows the virtual positioning of the audio sources in output from the Spatializer of X-Spat. We remind you that the correspondence between these outputs and the actual positions of the speakers used in your environment, depends on the settings made in the current patch bay of X-Spat Controller.

Click on the selected output and move the mouse, keeping it pressed down, in order to change the position approximately. Release the mouse wherever you prefer and select “Fine Tuning” to open a box containing the fields with the coordinates X, Y and Z of all the outputs. Use the “Step-per” buttons next to each field in order to insert the coordinates with greater precision. Moving the mouse, after Shift-clicking on an output, you can set the value of Z for the selected output. Recalling one of the presets in the “Default Preset” window, the outputs will automatically position themselves in the default position of the selected type of preset.
