The Source Position Manager area You can set the virtual space position of the audio source coming from the selected channel in the “Source Position Manager” area, by moving the blue sphere with the mouse. The fields X and Y indicate the positions in relation to the center of the virtual cube, in meters. The field Z, modifiable through the fader above it, indicates the height of the source. NB. For example, in an environment with a height of 6 meters, the floor will be at -3 meters, since zero is set at the center of the virtual cube. The values of Speaker Position and of Sour-ce Position Manager vary according to the value of Room Side set in the Global Settings area; it is therefore advisable to set the latter parameter first of all. In order to fix the positions of the speakers at a predetermined position, even when the Room Side parameter varies, set the option 'Lock Speakers' in the A&G X-Spat menu. The button “TheBat” allows the connection and control of the three parameters in the Source Position Manager by the three-dimensional ultrasound controller produced by A&G and denominated, in fact, TheBat. As this controller that can be connected via USB, TheBat must be switched on and connected to the Mac before you start the X-Spat Controller application, otherwise the software will fail to recognize the controller.
